How We Began....
What started out in 2003 with memorial funds to honor Jan Sawa's parents, Bill and Jasmine Bray who were pioneer missionary educators in Malawi, Africa turned out to be more than she ever anticipated...
In 2007, with fund-raising efforts from several churches and her surrounding community she and her husband, Greg, went to Malawi to see the projects that had been started. They were overwhelmed with the enormity of the need and felt a real calling to help the people in Malawi.

A Simple Philosophy....
Empowering people to break through the cycle of poverty and brokenness.

Our Choices...
When it comes to people in need, we have two choices. We can continue enabling to the point of dependence, or we can move beyond charity and embrace empowering to the point of independence.
The Aim of Our Mission....
To provide and enhance the basic needs of orphans, the disabled and destitute people of Malawi, Africa. So many have been exploited, neglected and forgotten. We will sponsor their needs with international volunteer efforts through a Christ-centered community based approach. Our hope is to nurture their Spiritual lives as they face a harsh and difficult existence on their own.
The Strategy....
When life's basic needs have been addressed, we want to help the people of Malawi build their own businesses and improve their access to education. This instills the dignity that is needed to be self-reliant, independent and responsible for their own live
